Top 10 Mega Evolution Wishlist

How many of you are excited for the upcoming Pokemon games: Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire? I am, you are, your neighbors are, your girl/boyfriend is, your spouse is, your children is, Jesus Christ is- EVERYONE IS! I do have my ideas on what should come back in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, but that's for another list. This list is a Top 10 of what I think should get a Mega Evolution. We already know about Mega Blaziken, which is an Event Blaziken that's given to us at X and Y's launch. When we saw the Corocoro scans of the rest of the Hoenn Starter Megas, we all thought it wouldn't be real, but it is proven true with the trailer for them at E3 2014, alongside a Mega Sableye with a giant jewel shield! However, seeing that they have Diancie shown with it's Mega Evolution, seeing that it's not even given to us yet, they broke their one rule that they established when they made X and Y: 5th and 6th gen Pokemon will never Mega Evolve! Well, since they broke that one rule, I think two can play at that game with this list! Now, this list may contain pokemon seen in other people's top # list of potential Mega Evos, like Tyrranitar Tube's because I DO actually agree on said Mega Evos seen in many Top # lists. Also, I don't have pictures to show what the Pokemon would look like with their Mega Evolved forms, but I would just simply ignore that factoid, and imagine what they looked like. so here we go!

10. Delcatty

Alright, why would I have a pamperd pussy(cat) like Delcatty be on this list? Because YOLO and a rather wild-card move called Normalize, which will make any non-Normal attacks Normal. Awww, I can't hit this other Normal-type pokemon with Shadow Ball- oh wait! Normalize! Can't hit a Ground-type pokemon with thunderbolt as Delcatty? Normalize! Wake-up Slap? Normalize! Icy Wind? Normalize! Faint Attack, Play Rough and Iron Tail? Normalize, dawg! But enough about Normalize and talk about how better it would become if it can Mega Evolve in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Normally, I would tell what it's states are, but rather, I wanted to know what Mega Delcatty looks like, rather than it's stats. but I do know one thing: Would it become a Fairy type? Maybe it would be more lovely and fashionable? I dunno.

9. Smeargle

huh? Why am I putting Smeargle on the list? Well, Smeargle can learn almost any move with Sketch, right? Well, why not give it a Mega Evolution with enhanced stats and the Protean ability that the Froakie family and Keckleon has (as a hidden ability). That way, Mega Smeargle can be a universal Pokemon altogether, although it'll still get it's neck broken by Fighting moves and won't really trump any other Mega Evolutions. I'm looking at you, Diancie, you cheater! And yes, Mew can learn almost any and all attacks, also making it a universal Pokemon, but doesn't have a hidden ability, and it would be way too OP. There's one question remaining? What would Mega Smeargle look like? The Pokemon version of famed art masters, like Leonardo Da Vinci, perhaps?

8. Gallade

Let's face it: Gallade's really left out. Gardevoir gets a Mega Evo, while Gallade gets diddly squat. So, why not give it a Mega Evoution, Game Freak? Yes, it doesn't have any really physical Psychic attacks apart from Psycho Cut, and it does have some physical Fighting type moves to feed on, but why not give it a powerful boost to match his female counterpart in terms of stats, and make him Mega Gardevoir's knight in shining armor? It would look like a badass, or like Mega Man more than anything? Also, it would have it's own ability, like Mega Pinsir and Mega Gardevoir does, where it's Normal type attacks are Fighting types.

7. Gothitelle

Yep, we're going to the real rulebreakers here, amiright Diancie? If you ever played that Pokemon Black/White romhack called Blaze Black and Volt White, you saw that the Gothita line got modded to be Phychic/Dark types (except that the real Phychic/Dark type is Inkay/Malamar, but this is before X & Y). Well, for this entry. Why not make it actually legit by giving Gothitelle a Mega Evolution that is a Phychic/Dark type like Inkay and Malamar? Why not make it more elegant-looking? Why not, well rival it with Mega Gardevoir? Oh wait, the Ralts family now has a Fairy typing... ...but still! Yes, it only has Feint Attack to go by in terms of Dark type moves, but that's no excuse! Just give it Dark Pulse by breeding and BOOM! A special Dark type move ready to use! In fact, like Mega Gallade, it should have an ability that turns normal moves into Dark type moves when it Mega Evolves, like Mega Gardevoir has with Pixlate. Eh, we can only hope. *shrugs*

6. Altaia

Yes, this is from AlmightyMandals and HoodlumScrafty's lists, and I agree with what AlmightyMandals thinks Mega Altaria should be: The world's first Fairy/Dragon type. Yes, it's a crazy thing to give a Dragon type like Altaria a Fairy type, let alone making a Dragon/Fairy type Pokemon in general! Or rather let's split it into two different versions. One version of Mega Altaria: What AlmightyMandals and HoodlumScrafty envisions it as. The other? While still a Dragon/Flying type, turns it from a cutesy, fluffy cloud bird, into a destructive beast that's on the inside when it wasn't Mega Evolved. But we do need to take account what differing stats those two forms should have between the two, like Mega Charizard and Mega Mewtwo, as well as a different ability for them. One form would have that underutilized Pixilate ability, again like AlmightyMandals envisions it, while the other form would have, like the two entries before it, an ability to turn Normal type moves into Dragon type moves, seeing it has a long way until Level 35 to learn Dragon Breath. And yes, when it comes to Fairy Mega Altaria vs Dragon Mega Altaria, Fairy Mega Altaria would still win.

5. Butterfree

Yes, this Pokemon is going to end up in someone's "WHYYYYYYYYYYYY!?!" Category, but I love Butterfree when I was a little kid when I got Pokemon Red. Heck, my favorite episode of the Pokemon anime with the non-aging Ash Ketchum was Bye Bye Butterfree, and I got the book version of that Pokemon anime episode! that's how much I love Butterfree with the rose-tinted shade on. Yep, ffffffffffffffff***ing nostalgia. So yeah, Butterfree's not the best in the world, and wouldn't get a Mega Evo, but it should to me. Well, give it higher stats to trump the other bugs, and make it Bug/Psychic, and give it an ability like... Speed Boost..? Well, since Ash's Butterfree left with the Pink Butterfree in the anime, why not make the Mega Evolution of it look like it's aged very king/queenly over the years, make the shiny version of it pink like the Pink Butterfree, and if it's male, give it the yellow scarf Ash gave his in the anime, you know, make it a massive nod to the Pokemon anime! Have I not said 'Anime' enough yet?!

4. Mightyena

Yeah yeah, it's possibly on anybody's Top # lists, because it got left out while Houndoom, while not getting that Cerberus form that everybody wanted, gets all the Mega Evolution love, sporting that Solar Power ability. So, yes, Mega Mightyena should also get this. While becoming the physical attacker equivalent to Mega Houndoom, Mega Mightyena should have the ability like Infiltrator, and would look awesome AND intimidating at the same time! Sorry for the lack of detail, because that's what everyone wants.

3. Leavanny

Yep, going back to the rulebreaking Pokemon again! Leavanny looks more Mega Evolution material more than the other 7, and I used it on my Pokemon Black 2 playthough. Yeah, light it on fire or use a flying type move, and it would die a horrible death, but if you look though those flaws, it has a nice pool of physical attacks, Bug and Grass-wise, that it can use! Also, it just looks like one of the cutie Pokemon like Floette and Kirlia. Also, since it has a lot of physical attacks, give it Huge Power, so it would send someone flying! And I do love what it looks like, thanks to the art of it made by HallowDew!

2. Blissey

Speaking of HallowDew, yes, another Pokemon on the "WHYYYYYYYYYYYY!?!" list, mainly because it's stats, except for HP and special defense, all suck. Since it learns Softboiled, it's basically a nurse Pokemon and nothing else! Well, Blisseys are cute, right? Well why not give it a Mega Evolution that's even more cuter? If it's given stat boosts, make the physical attack and defense stats bigger, so it can be worth a damn in combat, and create an ability that HallowDew envisioned it, that would make health-dropping ailments do the exact opposite. Seriously, check out HallowDew's stuff. :3

And before I even begin on #1, I need to let this out.

Honorable Mention for the lulz: Pikachu

Why? Why would I have the mascot for the Pokemon franchise, Pokedex entry #025, be on this list, Honorable Mention or not? It's not even fully evolved! Well, just think of this for a second: imagine in the anime, Ash would get a mega ring, and get a Mega Evolution stone for Pikachu. Yeah, Pikachu refuses to evolve into a Raichu for obvious reasons, because it's so strong throughout all those seasons of the anime, and it's powerful moves it learned throughout it's life, it pretty much pwned it's evolved form. So what happenes of Pikachu broke through that limit of having to become Raichu for the Mega Evolution to take place, and became Mega Pikachu, becoming beyond powerful? Well, that's the same thought of what happened to the ultimately worthless GS Ball that's left with Kurt after all these years. Besides, off topic, I think the GS Ball's just used to unleash Armageddon if it WAS opened, so take that with a jar of salt if you will.

And now, the Big One.

*dramatic pause*

What Pokemon, that wants a Mega Evolution, would tower all others? Well, the number one Pokemon that deserves it is...

1. Rapidash

And for good reason. Remember those pesky spike hazard moves? Remember that one certain move that should have been banned from competitive battles in the first place? *cough*Stealth Rock!*cough* Well, for this particular Pokemon, here's what it deserves to be: an Anti-Stealth Rock Mega Evolution! Yep! Not only do people want Rapidash to Mega Evolve into an Alicorn, and give Princess Twilight Sparkle a run for her money, but instead of giving it stats that benefits it, give it a unique ability that will permanently change competitive battles forever: Hazard Banish, which, as long as it's not fainted, and whether it's in battle or not, will render Entry Hazard moves, especially Stealth Rock, worthless! And yes, it's Alicorn form will make it Fire/Flying, which is Bantha fodder for that dreadful move, but that ability will forever scar the Stealth Rock cheaters.
